Develop Indy is the economic development organization for the City of Indianapolis and Marion County. As an excluded city of Marion County, the City of Lawrence works with Develop Indy to help with business attraction, retention and expansion. Some of the incentives offered by Develop Indy include; real property tax abatements, personal property tax abatements, TIF training grants, microlending, and more. Develop Indy is also a great resource when working with Tax Increment Financing Districts and Opportunity Zones. Develop Indy also provides assistance to businesses seeking state tax credits and workforce development grants through the programs listed in the above section.
